As Stemilt’s
System Engineer you will play a critical role with a focus in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure, and technologies that support our organization’s strategic goals. This position supports four thousand Stemilters and it’s required to
deliver extraordinary customer service at all levels, as well as ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the Stemilt’s information systems.
Additional Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business needs and implement technology solutions.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Implement security measures and best practices to protect company data and systems.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and data integrity measures.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain optimal performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance system efficiency.
- Participate in capacity planning and performance management to support business growth.

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or in related field.
- A commitment to understanding that change is the only constant and practice of change with purpose, flexibility, and adaptability is a must
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Some travel may be required
- Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role in a midsized company.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, networking, and security principles.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact and connect with all
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
