What We Need
As a Senior Systems Engineer you’ll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Server and SAN storage platforms. In this role you’ll opportunity to work within multiple systems, researching and identifying the common issues and driving the teams towards resolution to have a positive impact on customer experience. You’ll have an opportunity to drive technical stewardship in the areas of research and development, technical implementations, infrastructure support and escalation, systems, and policy documentation, as well as supporting security and compliance processes.

GreenBox is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as wholesale, retail, and general merchandising.

What you’ll do - You will be part of the team designing and delivering innovative Logistics and Warehouse Automation Solutions.
- Responsible for the daily support, management and administration of servers and storage infrastructure. on-premises as well as Cloud.
- Providing day-to-day technical leadership for servers/storage and ensuring stable systems availability, performance, compliance, and security.
- Develop policies for standardizing systems and create/maintain standard operating procedures for the team.
- Review new and existing system designs and make recommendations for improving or altering the systems.
- Conduct research on new technologies and create and develop plans for investing in such systems that will increase cost effectiveness and flexibility.
- Provide input to the technical documentation, training, and testing plans.
- Collaborate with the Product and Solution Architect, Quality Engineers, Technology, and Infrastructure Functions to support Concepts, High Level Designs, and End-to-End Solutions.
- Ability to understand complex technical issues and facilitate resolution. Ability to communicate well with internal and external technical audiences. Ability to triage issues based on priority, impact, risk, release timing.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in VMware/Windows/Linux systems administration, which includes user administration, application support, and preventative maintenance.
- Experience in building and deploying Windows/LINUX servers, both physical and virtual.
- Experience in Azure or GCP cloud infrastructure support.
- Experience working with engineering teams in a fast-paced technology company.
- Experience in investigating, analyzing, diagnosing, tuning, and resolving operating system issues.
- Managing and deploying OS patches.
- Experience in Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP administration.
- Experience supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment.
- Experience installing and configuring iSCSI, NFS, and Fiber for Storage system environments.
- Experience with Pure Storage, HPe and other Enterprise Storage systems.
- Experience with Cisco UCS and HPe Synergy platforms is a plus.
- Experience in Backup and Recovery solutions such as Cohesity, and Veeam.
- Experience in deploying, and testing disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience with shell scripting, MS office, MS Project, MS Visio, and Infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- Experience in managing and supporting monitoring solutions and antivirus solutions.
- Experience in Antivirus solutions such as Sentinel One.
- Experience in Problem and Change Management.
- Experience with incident and issue tracking systems and service Delivery platforms such as Jira.
- Passion for creating and maintaining documentation and troubleshooting runbook.
- Able to contribute to system design/decisions.
- Able to contribute to the technical direction of projects.
- Able to learn new technologies on the job.
- Available for on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Team player with excellent communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Our Environment
- Up to 25% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
- The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
