We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our hedge fund technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building, automating, and managing cloud-native infrastructure with a focus on Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern monitoring and telemetry systems. This role involves close collaboration with developers and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment, security, and scalability of critical applications in a fast-paced financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Artifactory.
- Manage and secure container orchestration environments using Kubernetes and associated tools.
- Integrate and administer secrets management systems such as HashiCorp Vault.
- Develop, monitor, and improve telemetry solutions with Grafana, Prometheus, and Vector for application and infrastructure performance.
- Write and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices in source code management, branching strategies, and infrastructure automation.
- Support the adoption and use of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) across teams to manage configurations and deployments.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot deployment issues and improve system reliability.
- Maintain and optimize GitHub repositories and workflows, ensuring compliance with development standards.
Required Qualifications:
- DevOps or similar experience in a high-performance technical environment, preferably in finance or a related field.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.
- Proficiency in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with secrets management tools like HashiCorp Vault and artifact repositories like Artifactory.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and telemetry tools, including Grafana, Prometheus, and Vector.
- Advanced Python scripting skills for automation and tool development.
- Solid understanding of networking, Linux systems, and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with version control systems and code repository management, particularly GitHub.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in financial services, particularly in hedge funds or high-frequency trading environments.
- Knowledge of low-latency infrastructure and system performance optimization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
