We are seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Enterprise Data Management, overseeing our technology data management team. This role will be pivotal in shaping and executing our enterprise data strategy and architecture, with an emphasis on the Modern Data Cloud. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
- 10–15+ years of technology leadership in enterprise data management.
- 5+ years in the financial services industry (Institutional Asset Management preferred).
- 5+ years as a senior manager or change agent.
- Extensive experience in enterprise data management, with expertise in Snowflake architecture.
- Proven leadership in managing remote teams in dynamic environments.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy laws, cybersecurity controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools and data quality platforms (e.g., FiveTran, DBT, Airbyte, Altan, DataDog, Monte Carlo).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive process improvements.
- Certifications in Snowflake or related technologies (preferred).
- Real-world experience with Python and Generative AI (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the global Enterprise Data Management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data solutions, including data warehousing, integration, modeling, cloud platforms, and analytics tools.
- Drive the adoption of Snowflake or Databricks for scalable, secure cloud-based data management.
- Implement and enhance DBT models, ETL/ELT tools, schedulers, and file transfer systems to meet internal SLAs.
- Partner with the Data Governance team to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
- Develop data management strategies using tools such as data catalogs and quality platforms to ensure accurate pipelines.
- Evaluate and deploy analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and emerging technologies like Microsoft Fabric.
- Define KPIs to monitor data management effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships for data tools and services.
- Support marketing technology initiatives by selecting and managing CRM, marketing automation, and CMS tools.
- Oversee cost optimization for data storage and processing, working with finance teams.
- Act as a strategic partner and subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on data management solutions.
- Integrate diverse internal and external data sources into a unified environment.
