What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define software requirements and design specifications.
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and alignment with established architectural guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues, working closely with the QA team.
- Contribute to the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation and deployment.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth and reliable deployment and operation of software applications
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Possess an active U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in front-end or back-end development
- Proven expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks (ExtJs, Angular, Vue.js)
- Experience with .NET, PHP, or SharePoint
- Experience with Agile Scrum
- Experience contributing to DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Knowledge of security best practices and secure coding techniques
- Knowledge of Section 508 standards
- Proficiency in one or more languages or platforms such as C#, Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, and Spring
- Experience with DB2, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and/or MySQL
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong experience with software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
