Duties and Responsibilities
The Supervisory Committee shall make, or cause to be made, an annual audit of the Credit Union and shall submit a report of that audit to the Board of Directors.
The Supervisory Committee shall review and approve the internal audit engagement, receive and review internal audit reports, ensure sufficient budget is available for the internal audit functions, and hold independent meetings with Internal Auditors as deemed necessary.
The Supervisory Committee shall cause the accounts of members to be verified to the records of the treasurer from time to time and not less than every two years.
The Supervisory Committee may become involved in the resolution of member complaints.
The Supervisory Committee interacts with the Board of Directors and the Executive Staff.
The Supervisory Committee attends monthly Board of Director meetings, Supervisory Committee meetings, and other meetings as required.
At the request of the Board, the Supervisory Committee may interact with Federal examiner(s).
Supervisory Committee members are required to participate in educational and trade association conferences in order to understand and carry out the responsibilities of the Committee. Volunteers are reimbursed for expenses incurred while serving as a Volunteer, including travel and conference expenses.
Supervisory Committee members may be appointed to serve as members or liaisons on other committees of the Board of Directors and other Credit Union subsidiary/CUSO Boards.

The time commitment averages 8-10 hours per month and 6-8 days per year for Strategic Planning and Education & Training events. We strongly prefer a candidate that lives our works within Southern California where many of our members are located.
