What to expect.
You will lead our IT services across all Sheppard Pratt sites to
define and implement a future-focused technology strategy that drives innovation and supports Sheppard Pratt’s mission to improve the quality of life for individuals and families in need.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Working with internal executives to address complex challenges and define projects that meet industry and functional business requirement.
- Building relationships with external industry leaders to ensure alignment with best practices and innovations.
- Aligning IT service delivery with Sheppard Pratt’s enterprise strategy to support the mission and goals of the health system.
- Building and maintaining a skilled IT team to design, develop, and support mission-critical systems.
- Leveraging deep healthcare industry experience to plan and lead in clinical and back-office domains.
- Leading IT governance initiatives to prioritize, deliver, and measure the impact of IT investments across the health system.
- Implementing a metrics-based approach to performance management and ensuring project completion aligns with timelines and ROI targets.
- Standardizing IT service delivery processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and service level agreements.
- Overseeing the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity initiatives to meet healthcare industry standards.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
- A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field of study.
- 12 years of experience which includes:
- Leadership in healthcare IT with experience in major turnaround and transformation programs.
- Proven strategic planning skills in complex healthcare environments.
- Expertise in deploying healthcare systems, with experience in Allscripts, Epic, or Cerner preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical and back-office processes, IT project management, and portfolio prioritization.
- Experience negotiating vendor agreements to achieve organizational benefits.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and regulatory compliance.
