Position Title: Platform Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity with our client in Redmond, Washington for an experienced Platform Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop “right sized” processes to provision, configure, and update hardened Ubuntu Linux systems for an early stage clinical study (up to 10 sites).
- Collaborate with software development, devOps, operations, and clinical engineering teams.
- Develop or adapt scripts to configure Ubuntu 22.04 per CIS hardening benchmark.
Job Qualifications:
- Linux systems administration
- Bash scripting, leveraging tools from Ubuntu Security Guide
- General knowledge of Cybersecurity. Familiarity with CIS benchmark preferred
- LUKs hard drive encryption with TPM key storage, clevis binding/unlocking
- Linux disk imaging and replication using Clonezilla or other tools
- Package updates, including offline updates e.g. using “apt-offline” or “apt-zip”.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Endpoint protection such as Crowdstrike, ESET, Trend Micro Deep security
- Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Landscape, Salt, or Hexnode.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Contract
- Pay rate range: $75-$100/hr.
- Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid Schedule: 1 day/week in the office, remainder is remote).
