A multi-billion dollar AUM, global hedge fund, are looking to hire a deputy head of market / portfolio risk into its New York office.
The firm have a small, but strong, established risk management team, however the Head of Risk finds himself needing to concentrate on higher level / strategic / project focused tasks, hence the requirement for a newly created hire.
Hands-on, the hire will support the firm’s flagship fund, running a variety of technical / quantitative portfolio risk management tasks, also acting as the main point of contact for the strategy internally + with a close involvement in the investment decision making process. Responsibilities extend to oversight of risk analysts + closely supporting he Head of Risk on some of the strategic initiatives that he is working on.
Candidates should roughly have 8-15yrs experience in market / portfolio risk, ideally on the buy-side, albeit IB and prop candidates can be considered. Our client expects candidates to have outstanding STEM/quantitative academic profiles and exceptional communication + relationship management skills.
The role is expected to pay a strong performer up to an $850k TC.
There is an option to WFH when required.
