This pivotal role involves delivering essential risk management and loss control services to our clientele. You will be tasked with gathering significant risk assessment data for our underwriting team, pinpointing potential risks associated with various accounts, and offering invaluable recommendations aimed at mitigating these risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site and remote field visits to perform comprehensive risk surveys.
- Oversee internal report evaluations, ensuring adherence to recommendations and industry guidelines.
- Gather objective data on multiple accounts and provide insightful risk information to underwriters in alignment with established protocols.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with insured clients and associated agents.
- Develop and implement strategic property and casualty service plans designed to enhance risk reduction.
- Collaborate with market stakeholders, including underwriting and distribution teams, to provide feedback on accounts and identify high hazard exposures.
- Ensure risk surveys and reports are detailed and provide a clear assessment of potential risk factors.
- Prioritize and manage work assignments, ensuring timely delivery of reports on pre-bind assessments, new business, renewals, and large account service programs.
- Maintain all requisite professional designations and certifications as mandated by regulatory authorities for loss control services.
- Adhere to departmental guidelines and consult with management on various accounts.
- Represent a professional and positive image to clients, agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and be open to overnight travel, which may be required up to 30% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Safety Management, Risk Management, or a closely related discipline.
- A proven commitment to self-improvement through the pursuit of professional insurance designations (CSP, CIH, PE, CPCU, etc.).
- At least 7 years of experience in property/casualty insurance, with a minimum of 3 years in a loss control representative capacity.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing risk reduction services with clients.
