Responsibilities And Duties
- Collaborate closely with other team members to promote a collaborative environment where communication and teamwork are key to resolving technical challenges.
- Maintain open, clear communication with end-users to ensure they feel supported and valued throughout the troubleshooting process.
- Travel locally within Northwest Arkansas to pick up stored laptops and other hardware to ship (approximately 10% local travel required).
- Provide excellent internal customer service, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for employees when dealing with technical issues.
- Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 technical support, resolving advanced hardware and software issues.
- Configure, deploy, and manage devices such as laptops and mobile equipment for a decentralized and mobile workforce.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues with VPNs and Wi-Fi hotspots
- Develop and document IT policies, procedures, and best practices to support a consistent and secure IT environment.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager to identify opportunities for IT optimization and provide strategic recommendations.
- Train Tier 1 staff and end-users on new systems and technologies as needed.
- Provide on-call support for critical issues outside standard business hours, as required.
Qualifications
- Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related discipline (Preferred)
- Certifications:
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or Security+ (Preferred)
- ITIL Foundation Certification (a plus)
- Google Workspace Administrator (a plus)
- Microsoft 365 Certifications (a plus)
- Experience:
- Jira Service Management or similar ticketing system.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar.
- Proficiency in managing and configuring cloud-based platforms like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Centralized endpoint management tools (e.g., NinjaOne, Intune, and Entra ID).
- Skills:
- Knowledge of dental software like Carestack (preferred but not required)
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner.
- Ability to thrive in a positive, collaborative culture, and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Familiarity with decentralized or multi-location environments is highly desirable.
