Title: Windows Engineer
Duration: 6+ month Contract to hire
Location 4 days a week onsite in NYC (10019)
Hours: either 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, or 9am-6pm, with the candidate needing to be flexible with any of these shifts.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proficient Windows Engineer with expertise in managing and maintaining Windows systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of Active Directory and related technologies, combined with a commitment to driving efficient, secure, and scalable solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Active Directory Administration
- Oversee and maintain Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, file system permissions, and DFS.
- Manage Certificate Services, Remote Desktop Services (including licensing), and Print Servers.
- Ensure a streamlined, organized Active Directory environment through proactive design and upkeep.
Scripting and Task Automation
- Develop and implement automation solutions with PowerShell (required).
- Familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages is a plus.
Additional Competencies
- Basic knowledge of systems like MS Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint is beneficial.
- Experience with Azure AD, Single Sign-On (SSO), and identity providers (idP).
- Exposure to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) tools such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and VMware Horizon is desirable.
- Familiarity with VMware tools like vCenter, HCX, vROps, and AVS is advantageous.

- Demonstrated experience in Windows system engineering and administration.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate within a team or work autonomously to deliver results.
