The Azure Engineer is a member of the WIS Enterprise team, which is responsible for the deployment and support of our global Windows and Cloud infrastructure.
You will require experience in system administration, scripting, and automation. We are looking for candidates well versed in managing scalable and efficient infrastructure using Terraform and Powershell.
The candidate will Develop and maintain IaC scripts and templates to automate the provisioning and management of Azure resource lead technical projects, work closely with all areas of IT to assist in the architecture, design and build of the cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. Lead the requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Additionally, you will work with external vendors and internal team members in providing technical and cost-based information related to new projects as well as plan, test and implement new and current technologies.
We’ll trust you to:
- Work with Azure Cloud technologies (IAAS, PAAS, and SAAS)
- Strong knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) / Containers.
- Have very strong experience with Windows Operating Systems
- Understand and lead with strong experience in automation using PowerShell and Terraform a must.
- Have strong experience with provisioning and managing Azure Infrastructure using automation – PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure Blueprints.
- Be well versed in enterprise infrastructure concepts – SAN, networking, load balancers, and security.
- Collaborate in the creation work/design of team documentation
- Possess excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Be self-motivated to overcome challenges and identify new opportunities for process improvement
- Be highly driven to constantly improve skills, gain new knowledge and be part of a global team
You’ll need to have:
- A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline or 5+ years equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working with business, applications, and infrastructure teams to design and implement IAAS, PAAS, SAAS cloud and hybrid cloud solutions.
- An understanding of end to end Azure Container components
- Hands-on experience in system administration within infrastructure teams
- A proven track record delivering projects in a dynamic, faced paced matrixed organization
- Excellent written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical teams
- Experience using Terraform to perform infrastructure as code

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately 140,000 - 180,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
