Title: System Engineer
Location: Minneapolis MN (Onsite)/W2 Contract

Project Description:
Build and maintain AWS infrastructure that enable most of our technology footprint to run. Also responsible to managing lifecycle of the infrastructure and optimizes to improve stability, minimize incidents and response times, while reducing costs by implementing automated solutions.
Position Summary/Job Description:
• Implement infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible and Chef.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build and deployment processes.
• Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure to support Best Buy applications and services.
• Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• Stay updated with AWS services, features, and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Skills Overview:
What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?
• 8+ years of proven experience as an Infrastructure Automation Engineer with focus on building platform automation tools.
• 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• 5+ years of experience with Configuration Management such as Chef and Ansible.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or other DevOps tools.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and scalability concepts in cloud environments.
• Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CICD pipelines.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
• AWS certification (e.g. AWS solution architect).
