Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will leverage your expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and manage scalable infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- AWS Cloud Architecture: Manage and optimize AWS cloud environments, ensuring cost efficiency, security, and performance.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to automate the application lifecycle.
- Kubernetes Management: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters for microservices-based applications.
- Monitoring & Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure that security best practices are followed, and systems are compliant with relevant industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of applications into the infrastructure. Mentor junior engineers and participate in team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, VPC, and IAM.
- Proficiency in Terraform for building and managing cloud resources.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Extensive experience in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go).
- Security: Knowledge of cloud security practices and tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, FlexCD, or other Kubernetes-related tools.
- Familiarity with GitOps principles.
- Exposure to serverless architecture and tools like AWS Lambda.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and modern software development processes.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Regular and on-time attendance.
Must be able to prioritized, schedule and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules.
A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
Hours may exceed 40 hours per week.
Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
