Weyerhaeuser Health and Safety team is looking for an individual who is a skilled project planner, a clear communicator and strong collaborator. This position requires the ability to work in teams and independently. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-started, who is capable of tackling complex projects. The individual will work in teams as well as independently.
The health and safety team is committed to eliminating injuries and improving the company’s safety program and performance. Our team provides our businesses, leaders and employees with strategic support and executes on plans to improve our safety program. This position is eligible for a fully remote or hybrid work location. The position is full-time and will report to the Health and Safety Director. The person in this role will provide project coordination support to the full Health and Safety team.
Location\: This role is based out of our Seattle, WA headquarters on a hybrid schedule which allows for remote work Monday and Friday, and onsite work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Relocation is not available.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate execution of the safety program improvements to ensure on-time completion of deliverables by ensuring teams has clear understanding of expectations and deliverables, monitoring progress, ensuring task completion and keeping all stakeholders informed.
- Coordinate the execution of the health and safety program improvements plans by providing clear expectations of deliverables and timelines to team, tracking and following up on actions. Support company safety governance council including meeting coordination and action tracking by working closely with council chair to provide clear expectations of deliverables and timelines to team.
- Manage the SharePoint, website and tools that support the safety system. Develop and maintain standard tools and templates in support of the safety system.
- Across all projects and programs supported, ensure project coordination and management tools are up-to-date, functional and identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Support metrics and progress reports for company leadership
- Provide back-up support for data systems
- Support team with administrative tasks such as meeting coordination, budget tracking, basic event support, invoice processing and general team support.
- Work safely, in full compliance with Weyerhaeuser’s policies and guidelines.
- Role model all standards/processes and on-the-job behavior by living our core principles of safety, integrity, sustainability and citizenship.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment.
- High level of initiative and motivation.
- Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity around confidential and proprietary information.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily SharePoint, Excel, Planner and other project management tools
- Basic knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping is desired, but not required.
- Past experience with health and safety projects is desired, but not required.
- Typically 2+ years of related professional experience.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in any field. May be substituted with 3+ years of related experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $66,700 to $100,100 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
