What you'll do...
Position: Senior Software Engineer
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Leads the work of other small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects by proving pertinent documents, direction, and examples. Identifies short- and long-term solutions and timeline. Review and provides feedback for proposed solutions; and performs design and code reviews of changes. Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause). Engages support teams to assist in the resolution of issues. Formulates an action plan. Performs actions as designated in the plan. Interprets the results to determine further action. Performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completes online documentation. Provides support to the business by responding to user’s questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies). Identifies short- and long-term solutions. Facilitates resolutions; and leads cross-functional partnership. Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects by reviewing project requirements. Translates requirements into technical solutions. Gathers requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames). Writes and develops code. Conducts unit testing. Communicates status and issues to team members and stakeholders. Collaborates with project team and cross-functional teams. Troubleshoots open issues and bug-fixes. Ensures on-time delivery and hand-offs. Interacts with project manager to provide input on project plan; and provides leadership to the project team.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience in: designing and developing web page application pages HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and jQuery; designing and developing server-side application using Java, Spring Framework, Web Services, Apache Framework and SQL Database; designing and developing Advance UI Web Components using ReactJS, Redux and Nodejs; designing and developing Testing Framework for Front end and back-End Application; designing and developing API and services using JavaScript, NodeJS, NPM libraries; designing and developing RDMS Queries; developing and running application in Cloud Systems such as Google and Azure; designing and developing the application in docker images and running as container in OpenShift and Cloud systems; building and optimizing Kafka custom source and sink connectors; utilizing Kafka consumers and Kafka-SQL; working on Kafka connect using schema registry in a very high-volume environment; Agile process, Scrum Methodologies, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Development. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
