The Amazon Enterprise Engineering team builds highly-scalable enterprise products that meets Amazon’s unique security needs to protect Amazon’s data. We are now working on a new multi-tenant platform fully based on native AWS to enable various internal organizations and new acquisitions to securely manage corporate owned mobile devices. We are looking for a strong software development engineer who will build the technical solution from the ground up in collaboration with a team of world-class talent. This is an opportunity to get on the ground and influence the technical design as well as the product direction. You will have the opportunity to work across the stack from cloud-based services to mobile apps and collaborate closely with peers from teams across Amazon.
- 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. · 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience · Programming experience with at least one software programming language. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in a related technical discipline. · 2+ years industry experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer. · Strong Computer Science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis. · Demonstrated proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C. · Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, building processes, testing, and operations. · Experience building large-scale software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers. · Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end software systems and all points in between.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design. Experience and/or knowledge of systems programming. Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational & NoSQL databases Experience with fleet provisioning and configuration management at scale. Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes. Experience building services using AWS products. Experience working in a high pace DevOps mindset culture. Prior experience with SAML, OIDC, FIDO/FIDO2 etc. is a plus. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $200,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
