Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Integrated Combat Systems (General Associate) position in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for the Integrated Combat Systems (V) Department, for the Integrated Combat Systems development branch (V16). Job location is Dahlgren, King George, VA. This is a hybrid position with telework available. The position will be working with the Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) X component of NSWC Dahlgren to model the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) for development. Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information at the Secret clearance level.

The NSWC Dahlgren Division is a leading research, development, testing, and engineering (RDT&E) organization within the Department of the Navy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- This position will provide senior level systems engineering and analysis support to multiple customers, primarily IWS X for SSDS development and sustainment,
- Duties may include:
- Providing review and recommendations on combat systems and system of systems integration technical issues,
- Conducting risk management and assessments and facilitating a risk program,
- Assisting with the organization and management of testing, planning and conducting test events,
- Reviewing requirements traceability and analysis,
- Providing technical assessments, evaluations, and analysis on system problems,
- Assisting with program element certification activities,
- The individual filling this role will function as part of and provide leadership to a collaborative team of subject matter experts and engineers assembled to accomplish the tasks listed above,
- Develop and maintain system models in the tools provided by the government, and
- Work in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) environment that uses the tools provided by the government.

Education and Experience:
- Fifteen (15) years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering experience with at least seven (7) years of specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as significant systems engineering responsibilities in one or more of the following areas: Combat Systems Cyber Security, Ships Self Defense System (SSDS), Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense Antisubmarine Warfare Trainer (CIAT), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) class frigate, Aegis Integrated Combat Systems, DDG-1000 Zumwalt class destroyer, Track Management, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense, and Weapon/Combat Systems Experience. SSDS is the preferred system,
- A bachelor’s of science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW, including the qualifications below; or US Naval operational experience at the E7 level or higher,
- Advanced writing and speaking abilities required,
- Two (2) years' experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required,
- Hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler is highly desired,
- Must have detailed knowledge of combat systems equipment and computer programs, excellent organizational skills and be able to perform efficiently and effectively on multiple projects under tight deadlines,
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the BCI team and customers,
- Minimal travel may be required,
- Applicants must be US citizens, and
- Applicants must be proficient with confluence and JIRA tools.
