Job Description:
Designs, builds, and implements software application components using Amazon Web Services (AWS) -- EKS, EC2, and ECS. Writes clean, testable, and robust code by leveraging programming tools and frameworks -- Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Spring, Web Services, or SQL. Stores and analyzes steaming data using Kafka. Develops databases using PL/SQL for Oracle. Automates DevOps processes and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools -- GitHub, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, and Docker. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Java micro services and event driven development, using Java 8+, Spring Framework, AWS Services, Kafka, or PL SQL.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and developing Java micro services and event driven development, using Java 8+, Spring Framework, AWS Services, Kafka, or PL SQL.
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”)designing and building enterprise applications using APIs and REST-full services; and adapting Spring boot micro-service architecture within large-scale services systems with Agile methodologies using Java 8+ and J2EE technologies -- Spring, Maven, AWS, Kubernetes or Docker.
DEdesigning and developing middle-tier, event-driven architecture applications using Java 8+, Spring Framework; processing millions of messages using Java Messaging Service MQ, IBM Message Broker ESB, or Kafka; testing applications using Mockito test framework, Postman, or Cucumber/Groovy Integration tests; and implementing message search features using Apache SOLR, Apache Nifi, or Zookeeper.
DEbuilding, deploying, and supporting financial service Web and desktop applications using GIT, Stash, Jenkins, DevOps, or uDeploy; managing source code version control using GIT or Stash; and automating the Continuous Integration (CI) of build, deploy, and test process of Web and desktop applications using Cloud Formation Templates, Jenkins, DevOps or uDeploy.
DE performing production install, solving production issues, and supporting Production Apps using AWS Services, Jenkins or Kubernetes; monitoring Logs using Splunk and Putty; and validating Production install using Datadog or Kubernetes.
