This role will serve as a central business Project Manager (PM) for tech transfers that are critical to the success of External Supply (ES) operations.This includes transfer of products from PC1 customers into relevant sites (primarily internal Pfizer sites and also CMOs), de-risking the tech transfers for strategic partner/top-tierCMOs, and accelerating tech transfers with strategic important for PGS business/savings. ES PM will execute across the following:
Support development of an ES Tech transfer Program Management Office (PMO) to respond to data queries from internal Pfizer sites and external partners (e.g., Contract Manufacturing Organizations, CMOs). This role involves understanding and aligning the ES Tech Transfer PMO (ES TT PMO) with the broader business strategy and deliverables; and all key stakeholders (eg.PGS Leadership Team, ES Leadership Team, PC1 Leadership/Operations, PGS Internal Site Leadership, PC1 Clients, Regulatory, GTEL/Technical Transfer Team, etc). Additionally, it includes coordinating efforts across T4 and T5 levels to execute and standardize technical transfer activities.
Coordinate across existing ES Program Management Office (PMO) program managers, whose portfolio of projects include Risk management activities, Strategic leadership initiatives impacting ES, Supply risk mitigation project management, Net-zero project management, and Management and optimization of critical business processes
PM will ensure effective preparation across all tech transfer projects, including:
Team Management: Establish a clear RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix to align all team members with the project’s goals and methods.
PM will leverage cross-functional PMO to enable smart execution for tech transfers, including:
Leverages and engages with multiple communication platforms and techniques to ensure stakeholders understand business priorities. This includes driving awareness of issues across multiple layers of T3/T4/T5 stakeholders. Ensuring an open effective communication environment for internal and external partner stakeholders that include ES Ops Leaders, ES CoE, PGS Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and where needed Contract Manufacturers (CMOs) stakeholders to ensure timeline and metric adherence. Where needed, resolve delays in consultation with ES BU Lead or T5 Lead
Work with the ES Center of Excellence (CoE), ES Operationsand Functional leads with technical & business acumen to drive actionable solutions to highly complexprojects and/or initiativesto meet identified business critical needs that provides for programs meeting its timelines associated to technical transfers, contractual commitments, etc.
For tech transfers prioritized for support, the ES Tech Transfer PM will be responsible for:
Tech transfer execution: Define micro-project plan, resource requirements, roles and responsibilities for on track and accelerated tech transfer projects, with clear escalation pathways as necessary. Proactively problem solve issues as they emerge across partners and functions, including logistical, technical, regulatory, and other types of common bottlenecks
Tech transfer management & governance:Establish the program management for complex multi-faceted technical transfer projects. Coordinate a multidisciplinary governance team to provide oversight and support manufacturing operations for critical technology transfers. Secure cross-functional endorsement for any accelerated tech transfer plan. Work closely with departments such as Process Development, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Site operations.
Technical support for facility, process, & equipment: Oversee technical SMEs and qualification leads to ensure smooth integration and alignment of process transfers with manufacturing capabilities and ensure continuous process maintenance across facilities. Support technical and regulatory partners in the authoring and review of key technical documents including batch production records, tech transfer reports, engineering specifications, and process descriptions
Complex Metric and Communication Management, Reporting & Issue Resolution - manage data collection and reporting for tiered reporting & communications ensuring timely and actionable updates are provided and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders where necessary. Operates program management routines on an appropriate cadence. Independently addresses technical and business shortfalls, coordinating with SMEs and Ops Leads for resolution, and escalates issues requiring T5 leadership decision-making
Program Management Continuous Improvement - Develops and leverages resources to implement innovative ideas/processes in support of driving successful outcomes to meeting or accelerating critical milestones. Drives business process enhancement, problem solving etc leveraging operational excellence principles
In-depth and extensive demonstrated knowledge of advanced MS Office Suite (ie PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) use and ability to utilize digital platforms
Must have expert knowledge in MS Office Suite (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Well-developed interpersonal skills including leadership, integrity, team orientation, flexibility, and creativity

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
