Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.
Position Summary :
Feature lead is responsible for understanding business requirements, converting them to technology deliverables and managing testing & implementation of those deliverables. Aligning multi year this software upgrade technology work with business changes is a complex task which requires past experience with bank and preferably in compliance area. This role is responsible for enabling the delivery of software changes to .NET applications in the Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology group.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
- Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
- Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
- Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
- Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
- Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
- Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
- Responsible for enabling the delivery of software changes to .NET applications in the Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology group .
- Creating clear acceptance criteria that are aligned to business requirements, facilitating UAT, managing business expectations, explaining technical limitations of software systems to business, resolving inquiries from business partners and/or audit, and supporting release management for planned software changes.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience required .
- Compliance & finance industry domain knowledge / Prior experience in Corporate Compliance required .
- Ability to build relationships, effectively influence and manage expectations of key stakeholders
- Skilled writing clear and precise acceptance criteria that align with business requirements and are clear to the technical team
- Experience bridging the gap between end-users and technology teams to enable successful delivery of expected functionality
- Feels ownership and accountability for delivering high quality work, able to balance multiple priorities .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex message in an easy-to-understand language.
- Well organized with attention to detail .
- Self-starter: Initiates work independently, before being asked .
- Intellectual curiosity .
