The Role
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Senior Software Engineer with at least 5-7 years of professional experience to join our team and play a pivotal role in the GECOM NAM project, a cornerstone of our eCommerce platform. As we approach the project’s launch, your expertise will be essential in ensuring its successful completion. Post-launch, our goal is to establish an internal Development Team to take full ownership of the GECOM NAM platform. This team will be responsible for adding new features and migrating projects from the Mi9 platform, currently used by Metagenics Canada and Bariatric Advantage. The timely hiring of a Senior Software Engineer is crucial for a smooth transition, ongoing development, and supporting our business growth initiatives. Experience with Next.js, Contentful, and GraphQL is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Preferably to have Payment Systems experience (Cybersource/Adyen/Stripe, etc.)
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React.js and Next.js.
- Experience with TypeScript for building robust and scalable frontend applications.
- Strong expertise in Node.js for server-side application development.
- Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, Fargate and API Gateway.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and best practices.
- Knowledge of automated deployment and CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Nice to Have:
- Experience using AI tools like Azure AI, OpenAI and/or Microsoft Co-Pilot to personalize end-user customer experience
- Project Management & Collaboration:
- Experience with Jira and Confluence for managing project workflows and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Contentful or similar headless CMS platforms.
- Experience integrating or working with platforms like CommerceTools or similar eCommerce solutions.
- Knowledge of payment gateway integrations, especially with Cybersource.
- Experience with Advanced Payment integrations, such as Paypal, GooglePay, ApplePay
- Performance & Monitoring:
- Familiarity with tools like DataDog for monitoring and performance optimization.
- Search & Recommendations:
- Experience with Algolia or similar search and recommendation engines.
Compensation
The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $128,000/yr. to $148,000/yr.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
