What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Me@Walmart core team within Walmart Global Tech. You’ll lead and develop technologies, products or services that revolutionizes the way Walmart stores operate. This includes developing and maintaining core foundation framework as well as tools/softwares other engineering teams utilize to deliver their product and services to our in-store associates. Your contributions will impact overall experience for over 1.6 million associates every day to operate faster and efficient.
About Team:
We work on Walmart’s strategic in-store associate mobile experience. Our goal is to enable our in-store associates with mobile app capabilities that will help them be more efficient in their daily tasks, enhance team collaboration and communication. By joining our team, you’ll will be part of a larger Me@Walmart core platform team. You will get the opportunity to work on various innovative initiatives such as personal assistant technologies, mobile micro-frontend foundational framework which enables several product teams to build tools for our stores, communication technologies to enable one-to-one or one-to-many communications as well as operational excellence methodologies that powers the overall platform. Our goal is to ensure our associates can easily access the information they need to get the job done quickly and spend more time assisting our customers. We are customer focussed, obsessed about details and driven to achieve the impossible. We work hard but we also have time for fun.
Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for delivering high quality technical designs and code for the product requirements in a fast-paced agile scrum environment.
Lead and participate in small to medium-scale platform agnostic Mobile app by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs; interacting with project manager to provide input on project plan; and providing leadership to the project team.
Strive for continuous improvement in efficiency.
Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and completing online documentation.
Provide support to the business by responding to user's questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies); identifying short- and long-term solutions; facilitating resolutions; and leading cross-functional partnership.
Frontend Platforms/Frameworks: Android or iOS Platform, ReactJS/React Native Frameworks, NodeJS/npm, Redux, etc.
Languages: Kotlin/Swift/Java, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML/CSS.
Databases: NoSQL Databases e.g. Google Firestore, Cosmos DB, etc.
Monitoring & Alerting: Splunk, Firebase, Dynatrace, etc
Messaging/Chat app experience using either Google Firestore or MQTT or any other realtime database
Experienced in audio streaming technologies is a plus
Experienced in Azure Blob Storage is a plus
Cloud Experience: Azure or Google Cloud
Requirements:
8 years of Core Software development experience.
Experience building customizable, reusable and dynamic components in Mobile APP UI using ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, ES6, Typescript, HTML and CSS.
Must have strong knowledge & hands-on experience UI components and building the app in React Native environment (on Android or iOS devices).
Experience in implementing UI analytics to report customer behavior and improve UI accordingly.
A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation and code structure in a team environment.
Experience with project build with CI-CD pipelines through Jenkins.
A constant desire to improve, learn more and take things to the next level and a passion for adopting the latest industry best practices.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability work effectively in the team.

Sunnyvale, California US-04396:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10424:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
