Ames National Corporation, a multi-bank holding company based out of central Iowa, is seeking a technology professional to join our team! The IT Systems Administrator will contribute to our Mission by implementing and maintaining technology systems for Ames National Corporation (ANC) and affiliate banks. Additional duties for the position include:
- Proactively manage and maintain corporate network equipment and systems including LAN, WAN, VoIP, and Wireless services.
- Serve as the primary contact for network and telecom vendors.
- Implements and maintains other IT systems which may include server and storage hardware, network security tools, virtualization infrastructure, or telecommunication systems.
- Monitors the security, reliability, and performance of assigned IT systems to ensure optimal operation and availability.
- Monitors systems to ensure that key information security controls, such as patch management, vulnerability management, and user access controls are adequately implemented.
- Keeps detailed documentation of system configurations.
- Interacts with other IT team members in resolving network related problems.
- Communicates with various vendors for additional technical support.
- Participates in IT departmental meetings and monthly Technology Committee meetings.
- Maintains competency in the areas listed above and stays informed of new technologies and information security risks.
- Recognizes and communicates ways to make the holding company and affiliate banks more efficient and fosters a positive attitude within the Company.
- Exemplifies the ANC Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Stability, Trust and Community on a daily basis.
- Periodic after hours or weekend work is required for system maintenance.
- Travels to affiliate bank locations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field or comparable work experience in information technology with a minimum of 4+ years of field experience.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and routing protocols.
- Experience with firewalls and VPNs.
- Experience with system administration processes and system commands.
- Technical certification(s) is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a financial environment is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft server and desktop administration.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be an independent, self-starter that shows initiative.
- Excellent organization, time management and customer service skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
