Our client specializes in making IoT sensors for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM’s) around the globe and is looking for a Network Engineer to work on a hybrid basis in their Pearl River, New York headquarters. In this role, you will work heavily on networking and firewalls, including firewall security with some occasional systems work. Ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills and must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with internal engineering teams as well as 3rd parties and customer teams. The position requires occasional off-hours work on nights and weekends and is 24/7 on-call, so candidates must be available as needed. No sponsorship is available at this time and no 3rd party candidates will be considered.

Required Skills And Responsibilities
- Strong firewall experience, specifically working with FortiNet and FortiGate
- Specific focus on firewall security
- Ability to perform basic routing and switching
- Capable of serving as an escalation point and proving L3 support to both internal and external clients
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
Nice To Have Skills
- Prior experience providing Linux Systems Administration and understanding of Linux CLI prompts and syntaxes
- Cisco certifications such as CCT, CCNP, CCNA, etc.
- Comfortable working on a 24/7 on-call schedule including nights and weekends
Compensation
- Salary is based on experience with a targeted range of $135,00 - $150,000
