The Global Network Engineering team is responsible for the design, engineering, and implementation of A&M’s switch and routed global network infrastructure with a focus on stability, security, automation, and innovation. We are seeking to hire a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the engineering and deployment of A&M’s Core Network across the Global WAN and LAN consisting of regional campuses, cloud colocation connectivity, and data center interconnects.
Roles, Responsibilities and Skillsets:
- Provide operational support to international and domestic networks
- Lead and complete projects (big or small)
- Consistently analyze application and bandwidth requirements and provide recommendations to meet requirements
- Consistently monitor network health conditions and pro-actively take action to avoid issue escalation.
- Deploy, scale and automate our network across multiple global offices/datacenters in both new and existing locations.
- Document standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials for use by the teams
- Review and implement changes on the network, following change management process (ITIL)
- Serves as key resource for infrastructure and application problem determination and resolution
- Utilize internal monitoring tools to pro-actively optimize network infrastructure and/or catch and fix issues before it arises.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Extensive experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting platforms and technologies including but not limited to the following:
- Layer2/3: 3650, 9300, 9500, Nexus 9K, ASR, ISR, VSS, Stacking
- Firewalls: ASA firewalls 55xx Series and Firepower 11X, 21xx & 41xx, FMC, AnyConnect VPN
- Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF
- Authentication Protocols – AAA, RADIUS, TACACS, ISE
- Load Balancer: F5 LTM/APM/ASM
- Network Management: Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA), Solarwinds
- Voice: Cisco Unified Collaboration
- Wireless: Meraki, Eakhau
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience engineering and supporting large scale enterprise wireless infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience with supporting co-located networks, Cloud Service Providers and Azure.
- Design/implementation experience with SDWAN technologies
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP or other network engineer certifications preferred
The salary range is $95,000 - $150,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
