Job Title: Network Administrator II
Supervisor: IT Director
Description: As the Network Administrator II, you oversee and administer all technology operations within the organization. This role involves administering network security, hardware and software, and data backup/recovery, while providing excellent customer support and resolving technical issues promptly. You will lead technology projects and maintain system security and compliance. With a strong technical background, project management skills, and effective communication, you have a crucial role in ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable IT operations that support the organization's growth and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a computer related discipline or Technical School Diploma with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience in Data/Systems Management and Security, Networking, and other systems including Server 2016-2025, Active Directory, Group Policy, Ubiquiti Firewalls and Switches, Networking, Office 365 Admin, Exchange, Defender, Purview, Teams, Hyper-V, PowerShell, and Veeam.
- Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of computing infrastructures.
- Familiarity with server management and monitoring tools.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge with scripting languages.
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with technical issues.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor networks to ensure security and optimal performance
- Design and deploy networks
- Manage servers using Server 2016-2022 and administer Domain Controllers
- Windows 11 Enterprise
- Manage Ubiquiti firewalls and switches
- Manage DNS, TCP/IP, Subnetting, and Routing
- Manage software deployment using Microsoft Intune
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange, Defender, Purview, Teams, SharePoint and Hyper-V
- Manage and troubleshoot remote cameras, doors, and phones
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations utilizing Veeam
- Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming help requests
- Use of ladders, power tools, knelling, bending, neck flexion, and lifting 50 pounds as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
