Seeking a Network Architect to add to their robust team!

- Remote (but needs to be located within 2 hrs radius from Chicago for occasional travel)
Be the go to for:
- Design, administration and configuration of network hardware and applications.
- Playing a key role in planning, designing, and managing LAN, WAN, DMZ, and Data Center infrastructure
- Lead network improvement initiatives, and drive projects!
Main Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain LANs, WANs, data centers, and cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor network security, troubleshoot issues, and provide end-user support.
- Research and plan for network growth, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Establish standards to improve network performance and reduce resolution times.
- Act as an escalation point for technical issues and document network configurations.
What do you need to be successful?
- 7+ years with a Bachelor’s or 9+ years with an Associate’s degree.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise with Cisco Nexus (2000, 5000, 7000, 9000 series), ACI, Catalyst (6000, 9000, 3000 series), DNA Center, SD-WAN, and routers (8500, ASR 1000 series).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, TCP/IP, etc.).
- Experience with network security devices (Cisco IDS/IPS, Firepower, Palo Alto, etc.) and VPNs.
- Familiarity with tools like Syslog, ACS, Solarwinds, and protocol analyzers.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience managing multiple data centers with 100+ switches, supporting 1,000+ corporate users
- Proven ability to discuss data center and campus designs
