Job Summary
The Senior Network/VoIP Administrator, working under the global design and security standards is responsible for the support of the voice and network infrastructure across the LA Live campus (incorporating the Crypto.com arena, Peacock Theater, The Novo and our corporate office). The role provides a variety of technical duties which include, but are not limited to the installation, maintenance, upgrades, documentation, problem diagnostics and day to day support of our network and voice infrastructure across the campus. The role also includes supporting our customers, tenants and events across the campus.
Essential Functions
- Maintain current knowledge of new voice and network infrastructure (hardware and software) solutions and recommend upgrades where appropriate to maintain efficient operation.
- Provision, Deploy and Support: VoIP Phones, Voicemail, Analog lines, and run cable extensions for indoor/outdoor events. Complete network and voice Adds, Moves and Changes for all Internal end users, tenants, and all services across the LA Live campus.
- Manage, support, and secure our existing network and voice infrastructure (including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Contact Center Express, Emergency Response any other related voice infrastructure) at all times including responding to possible threats and vulnerabilities.
- Monitor systems health and logs daily and address issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Summarize telecommunications data from internal and external sources for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Telecommunications dashboard.
- Document network and voice infrastructure processes and procedures in addition to updating and creating new processes, such as updating existing workflows and building new workflows that help streamline current processes.
- Assists, train and provides guidance to other Full-time and Part-Time technicians.
- Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization.
- Work with the Operations Analyst on an ongoing basis to coordinate daily workload and event planning.
- Collaborate with the Global Technology Network and Information Security team regarding global standards and information security policies and procedures.
- Analyze reports from Telecommunications vendors and work with internal and external contacts to action as needed.
- Place and oversee telecom orders with carriers that are required for projects and assist with any fault escalations to carriers as required.
- Assist in technical projects such as upgrades to include planning, scheduling, testing, and coordinating.
- Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested by any member of the senior management team.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum education level of: AA/AS Degree (2-year) Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of related work experience in engineering and IT support required.
- Experience with the following technologies: Cisco network hardware and software, Cisco Unified Communications hardware and software, SIP trunking, UCCaaS, ServiceNow.
- Experience in project participation (including mid-to-large scale projects, and managing multiple projects at one time).
- Experience working with Contact Center required, including understanding of call flow design and development.
- Experience with billing processes preferred, including understanding components and services on the invoices.
- Experience and full fluency in the following hardware/software: Telecommunications concepts, Industry trends –SIP, VoIP, Contact Center platforms, Incident and Problem Management via ServiceNow, TEM, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, UCCaaS, VoIP/SIP.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook; Excel; Word); ability to learn all required business systems.
- Ability to rack, stack, lift IT/Telecom equipment up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Knowledge of 110 punch down blocks, ability to crimp RJ45 connectors in T-568B wiring standard.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner in English.
- Ability to work effectively either independently or as a team member.
- Ability to prioritize requests, organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams when required.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure including port configurations and VLAN changes.
- Knowledge of the relationships between local, long distance, and wireless services and Telecommunications providers.
- Ability to respond to Service Desk requests after-hours.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, as scheduled.
- Must be willing to travel domestically, work extended hours and participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Previous experience working in a similar facility environment.
Pay Scale: $32.54 - $48.80
