The Position:
AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented System Administrator-Senior to support Infrastructure. The salary range of this position is $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

A typical day as a System Administrator-Senior may include:
- Designs and manages Windows servers/networks to meet customer requirements
- Troubleshoots VMWare issues, server errors and other computer/networking problems
- Deploys updates to servers using WSUS, Active Directory and GPO policies
- Works with the IA team to meet system security policies through STIGs and other network/ security procedures
- Assists other system administrators and team members as needed
- Automates processes using PowerShell scripts
Must-haves:
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or other Information Technology discipline
- HS Diploma or equivalent may qualify with one of the following certifications: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), SecurityCompTIA, Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), Federal IT Security Professional-Operator-NG (FITSP-O-NG)GIAC, Foundational Cybersecurity Technologies (GFACT) or GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- 12 years of relevant work experience
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- A strong background in Windows systems administration including the installation and management of VMWare, ESXi infrastructure, Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, GPO deployment and Windows patching (using WSUS and/or other patching utilities like PDQ Deploy)
- Experience setting up VLANs and other LAN/WAN networking configurations
- Familiarity with STIGs, malware scanning, firmware updates and hardware troubleshooting
- Familiarity with enterprise level systems such as NetApps and EMC
- Knowledge of next generation firewalls, software defined networking and other next generation technology and solutions
- Experience configuring NAS and SAN storage environments
- Extensive experience designing and managing current versions of VMWare virtual architecture such as virtual networking, VMotion, resource allocation and monitoring
- The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance-Secret Clearance required to start
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Linux
- Experience with advanced networking, firewall or VPN

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. Overnight travel will be required.
