Job OverviewWe are looking for a Network Engineer on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for our large federal government agency’s highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.
*Requires ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
Core Responsibilities- Gather user network requirements utilizing multiple methodologies to provide necessary technical documentation, system requirements documents, systems security requirements documents, and system test plan.
- Install, maintain and evaluate network systems and communications systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues involving various protocols, topologies, networking hardware, etc.
- Utilize knowledge of internetworking, computer systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals to enhance understanding of current network designs and to collaborate with other team members
- Work independently and collectively to help improve network solutions and contribute to network service improvements.
Requirements- Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions.
- Experience configuring switches and routers.
- Experience with configuring from the CLI
- Experience with IT Ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, etc)
- Experience providing Tier 2, 3, or 4 troubleshooting and support.
- Experience in classified and unclassified network environments
Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor's degree
- CCNA Certification
- Experience with BGP, and/or EIGRP
