The Senior Network Engineer III will work both within the team and independently to advance projects and support network related issues. The Senior Network Engineer III will apply proven communication, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and support issue resolution while discovering improvement opportunities to maximize the benefit of IT solutions throughout TAMKO. The Senior Network Engineer III will be valuable in planning and implementing future solutions.

Prepare and align the IT Network Infrastructure across the enterprise for adoption of artificial intelligence and autonomous operations
- Implement modern edge connection technologies such as software defined networking (SD-WAN), secure access service edge (SASE), or other methods to support IT initiatives. Proficient in SDWAN, cloud networking, with a great understanding of best practices and hands-on implementation experience
- Work with high energy and strong sense of urgency focused on delivery and continuous improvement
Position Requirements
Experience with VMWare Networking Technologies: Proficient in managing and configuring VMWare network environments, including NSX and vSphere, to ensure seamless virtualization and cloud integration.
- Knowledge of Industry-Specific Solutions: Familiarity with networking solutions tailored to manufacturing environments, such as those from Rockwell Automation and Siemens, which are crucial for connecting and securing plant operations.
- Security Protocols Expertise: Deep knowledge of advanced security protocols and tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to safeguard sensitive manufacturing data.
- Network Automation Skills: Ability to automate network processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Cisco DNA Center) to enhance efficiency and accuracy in network management.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning: Experience in designing and implementing network disaster recovery plans and business continuity procedures to ensure minimal downtime and continued operations under all circumstances.
- Compliance and Standards: Understanding of compliance requirements related to network security, including those relevant to manufacturing and corporate IT (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate with other IT teams, such as systems, security, and database administrators, to ensure a cohesive and secure IT infrastructure.
- Vendor Management Skills: Experience in managing relationships with technology vendors to ensure that service levels are maintained and cost efficiencies are achieved.
- Training and Mentoring: Ability to mentor junior network engineers and other IT staff to build a knowledgeable and capable IT team across all TAMKO locations.
Required Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree and 10 years of IT Systems Engineering and Operations experience is preferred for this position.
