Position Overview
As a Help Desk Technician you will play a vital role in supporting CR&R staff, both local and remote by providing exceptional technical assistance. You will work in a dynamic, multi-platform environment, supporting network infrastructure, PC's and company mobile devices. Under the guidance of IT Leadership, you will collaborate with various departments to prioritize and resolve technical issues efficiently.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond promptly to end-user requests, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Manage and support mobile devices, laptops, desktops, WiFi LAN connections, printers, and phones.
- Address and resolve inquiries related to software or hardware usage.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across all IT environments, including operating systems, networks, applications, and hardware.
- Set up new equipment and perform minor hardware and software repairs.
- Accurately document trouble tickets and solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT team members to manage ticket handoffs.
- Train users on proper hardware and software usage and update training materials as needed.
- Install and configure IT hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Conduct IT equipment and asset tracking and inventory management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years experience in a hands-on IT / Help Desk Environment
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology preferred, but not required
- Comprehensive understanding of basic networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting network issues, printer problems, network connectivity, WAN, and internet-related issues.
- Proficiency in domain environments and Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, Firewall, and IP telephony.
- Experience supporting and managing Microsoft Windows in a domain environment.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
- Proficiency with Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel.
- Positive, self-motivated, and a team player with an independent and helpful demeanor.
- Experience with VPN configuration, support, and remote access technologies.
