ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Provides technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
- Manages the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems
- Monitors the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
- Maintains system backups including creation and testing
- Responds to and resolve Service Desk requests
- Upgrades systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
- Administers infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software, and other processes
- Reviews application and system logs
- Installs and tests computer-related equipment
- Stays current with new technologies, organizing pilot studies and demonstrations to understand how they may fit into the current environment
- Works with IT Management team to ensure compliance for governmental and contractual requirements
- Conducts oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience in system administration
- Experience maintaining VMWare environments and Windows servers, including setup/build, patching, troubleshooting, and application/operating system performance tuning
- Two years’ experience with server virtualization
- Experience with Storage Area Network technologies, Veeam, Nimble, VMware administration, and design and implementation of new systems
- Ability to manage Active Directory and Group Policies
- Experience designing and maintaining wired and wireless infrastructure
- Ability to install, configure, and maintain Exchange Server, SQL Server, and M365
- Experience in administration of IP Switching and TCP/IP networking
- General understanding of Cisco Systems required, CCNA preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas, concepts, and proposals to a wide range of internal and external audiences at all levels, both technical and non-technical
- Five years of supervisor or management experience is preferred with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to coach employees
