DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Network Systems Administrator to support the ongoing maintenance and accreditation of company classified networks. This position includes the daily maintenance and accreditation responsibilities for managing unclassified and classified networks. The Network Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, optimization, patching, maintenance and support accreditation of the software, firmware, and hardware for all network appliances. Additionally, you will be able to collaborate with the other System Administrators and security personnel to solve complex problems and define the maintenance and growth to meet company needs.
A Day in the Life:
- Work collaboratively with a team of system administrators and security personnel in an Agile cadence
- Support design, configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all network systems
- Analyze and recommend proactive maintenance for existing hardware, software, and networking systems
- Create and implement scalable Cisco networks according to client specifications
- Test and troubleshoot installed Cisco systems
- Resolve technical issues with networks, hardware, and software
- Perform speed and security tests on installed networks
- Apply network security upgrades
- Upgrade/replace hardware and software systems when required
- Create and present networking reports
- Train end-users and other SAs on installed Cisco networking products
- Support corporate growth and network accreditation requirements
- Provide support to other system administrators in their roles as needed
- Document best practices, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance activities
What You Need:

8+ years of demonstratable experience standing up and maintaining enterprise networks

Knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies

Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF

Experience with network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting

Experience with firewall implementations (pfSense, Juniper, Fortinet, and/or Palo Alto)

Experience with shell scripting (Bash, CShell, etc.)

Knowledge of UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs

Knowledge of multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment

Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio

Willingness to support Privileged User requirements

Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification or IAT II equivalent.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows Desktop/Server enterprise systems
- Experience with Python
- Agile knowledge and practice (SAFe or Scrum Alliance background with Atlassian product experience in Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket)
Salary Range:
$100,000 - $135,000 annually. At DeNOVO Solutions, we value experience and expertise. Compensation may exceed the listed range to align with the skills and experience of the candidate.
