Raytheon Technologies Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has immediate opening for a Full Stack Infrastructure Engineer. The qualified candidate will have a keen interest in DevOps philosophies and an extensive background in implementing systems utilizing DevOps practices. The position is hands-on; therefore, the successful candidate will have strong implementation, system diagnostic and leadership skills. Flexibility to work a hybrid work schedule of remote and on-site availability in the Sterling, VA area.
Job Duties:
Automate the provisioning of the system:
Implement, maintain, and deploy new code and configuration changes which are all version controlled across all CI/CD infrastructure components.
Automate software testing at multiple levels (component, configuration item, system, sub-system) and monitor results.
Collaborate with other development teams to bring new features and services into production.
Provide support to development teams that use the automated infrastructure. The qualified individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and security.
The ability to plan, architect, estimate, and lead the system development and deployment is highly desired.
Required Skills:
10+ years related experience.
Practical experience working programs with requirements that are satisfied with through Infrastructure automation.
Experience with Virtualization/VMWare.
Experienced with container-based architecture, orchestration, and deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Object Oriented language experience (Python, Ruby).
Familiar with principles and tools of CI/CD (Jenkins).
Experience in both Windows and Linux RHEL /Unix environments.
Strong in scripting languages (Bash, Perl, etc.).
Experience with IaC (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
Experience with code repository CM tools (Git, Bitbucket).
Ability to work on multiple tasks, prioritizing and organizing these tasks to maximize productivity.
Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently as well as lead a team.
Eagerness to tackle problems outside your core competencies and learn new technology as required.
Extensive networking knowledge (firewalls, VPNs, proxies, load balancers, etc.)
Ability to communicate technical concepts both up and down the management chain.
Desired Skills:
Ability to stay abreast of emerging system development trends.
Exposure to Information Assurance compliance to specified standards, e.g. ICD-503 or Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Ability to adapt in fast paced and changing environment.
Leadership experience.
Estimation or proposal experience.
Active TS/SCI.
Education Requirements:
Typically requires a BS / BA degree in Science, Technology Engineering or Math (STEM) or related with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology and 10 years of relevant experience.
