Job Overview
This role will report to the Director of IT and will be the primary resource for building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and development pipelines. The ideal candidate is an expert in their field and demonstrates a keen desire to learn and grow, exhibiting a servant's heart while also demonstrating an attitude of eager perseverance. The candidate would also have extensive experience with cloud solutions (e.g. AWS) and related technologies with a proven background in accelerating the delivery of quality software in a SaaS environment.
About you
- You’re an outstanding human. We get it, no one is perfect, yet you possess a strong moral character that loves our core values and affirms Accountable2You's mission and purpose.
- You believe the struggle is real. You count bondage to pornography and other addictive behavior as serious matters. You’re committed to helping people in their journey toward life change.
- You’re experienced in DevOps engineering. You’ve managed cloud infrastructure and helped enable CI/CD to improve product releases.
- You are a natural communicator and team player. While you don’t need to be an extrovert, it does mean that those who know you best would say you thrive in environments that rely upon clear written and spoken communication. You are patient with the various communication skill levels of others and respect their varied perspectives. You see collaboration as a virtue and seek to build comradery with your peers.
- You’re eager to grow personally and professionally, and help others do the same. Like a world-class athlete working with a coach, you want to know what you did well and what you can do better next time - and you coach your team in this same manner. Excellence matters to you. At A2U, we all view feedback as the means to grow and improve toward excellence. That means we’re quick to learn from our mistakes and quick to extend grace to others amid their mistakes, too.
- You like to balance best practices with delivering value quickly. Like us, you want to do things right, yet at the same time, you realize the diminishing returns of perfect. You know that following best practices helps to reduce errors, increase security, and make future changes quicker to make. You also realize that sometimes quality fixes need to be made quickly when our customers are feeling pain.
- You’re a collaborative and proactive doer. You don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do next. You own your work, collaborate with stakeholders, and you’re always looking for the next opportunity to meet a need, serve customers, or help your team. You see potential risks and rally your team to take action. You know how to escalate critical matters to senior management or take the lead when it’s within your scope. Likewise, you’re flexible and available to your team when they need your input and guidance.
- You have experience with IaaS and CI/CD technologies. You have experience improving, designing and building infrastructure in a cloud environment (like AWS). While you’re comfortable asking questions of your teammates, you also prefer to rely on your knack for self-guided training to learn about existing or new cloud resources as needed and are always hungry to learn more.
