Job Title: IT System Engineer
Location(s): Irvine, CA - Onsite
Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000
About this position:
Under general supervision of the IT Manager, the IT System Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading and managing our software, hardware and networks. The ideal candidate will be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and have excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, meeting room equipment and peripheral equipment
- Manage inventory, track assets and warranties, and coordinate authorized repair or replacement
- Handle new employee onboarding (setting up new computer, phone, printer, software, and others for new user)
- Provide general help desktop support to employees
- Monitor performance and maintain network servers according to requirements
- Create and maintain internal IT standard operation procedure documentation and develop and maintain updated training materials.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, firewalls and security patches
- Completes any other projects and tasks as assigned
- Provide A/V support for corporate events including occasional off-site
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 3-5 years IT related practical experience.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role on the Windows ecosystem
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- This is an on-site position. You will need to be in the office during working hours.

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a team
- Flexible to work overtime, afterhours, and weekends when required by the task or project at hand
