The Systems Administrator will maintain, upgrade, and provide support for clients software, hardware, and networks. The Systems Administrator needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly be available to respond to help desk requests in a timely manner. The individual should be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with individuals in all departments to help solve their technical issues. The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining system infrastructure, computer equipment, back-ups, installing and updating software, installing and configuring computers.
This role works as part of our global IT team and needs to be able to collaborate with teammates and users across regions.
Responsibilities
Support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in house servers
Assist in managing Azure and Office 365 environments
Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
Support and administer third-party applications
Ensure network security and connectivity
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
Resolve problems reported by end users
Help define network policies and procedures
Specify system requirements and design solutions
Research and make recommendations on server system administration
Provide IT support and mitigations for IT security events
Work as part of a global IT team to support business users and operations
Requirements
2+ years of experience in a network administrator role
Prior experience with Microsoft Windows Server System stack
Prior experience with Office 365, Azure management
Prior experience with firewalls, switching, network monitoring and VPN implementation, troubleshooting and problem resolution
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP certification a plus
BSc degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
