Systems Integration Engineer, Clearance Required – TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Please note, this position requires all candidates to currently possess an active Top-Secret SCI Clearance with a Polygraph. This position is not an opportunity to be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance.
The Work:
The selected candidate will work on a team of cyber Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who are providing support to a large, complex technical program for preventing, identifying, containing and eradicating cyber threats to networks through monitoring, intrusion detection and protective security services on information systems including local area networks/wide area networks (LAN/WAN), commercial Internet connections, public facing websites, security devices, servers and workstations. She/he will be responsible for the overall security of Enterprise-wide information systems, and will collect, investigate, and report any suspected and confirmed security violations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A current Top-Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.
- In-depth experience in several of the following areas: system architecture, design and development, requirements analysis, data flow design/analysis, network design/implementation, testing, technical system documentation.
- At least 7 years of experience working with network design or foundational networking.
- At least 7 years of experience working on system architecture design, building, and integration.
- At least 7 years of experience with infrastructure components (Servers, Switches, Firewalls, and other Enterprise Infrastructure hardware).
- At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Architect working on large complex system architectures.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Windows and Linux systems (notHelp Desk/ticket experience).
- Requirements verification traceability experience.
- Experience analyzing user requirements, system architecture, and/or system requirements specifications.
- Experience in discovery, research and analysis for hardware and software transitions.
- Experience gathering information related to the lifecycle of equipment and software.
- A solid understanding of secure systems engineering and development.
- Comfort working on multiple systems and components simultaneously in various configurations.
- Ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasking and communicate clearly regarding technical options and trade-offs.
- Capable of performing systems engineering activities in support of Agile teams on a large program.
Bonus Points:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in System Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a related field and at least 12 years of related experience.
- Hands-on experience with hardware and software maintenance.
- Experience transitioning legacy systems into new architectures.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering.
- Experience with risk management/risk register.
- Experience tracking hardware assets and/or software licenses.
- Experience with theScaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology or as a member of an Agile team.
As a Systems Integration Engineer, You Will:
- Provide guidance and support for system engineering of large-scale systems, major system elements, and interfacing systems that are part of a large complex network environment with geographically distributed components.
- Provide technical guidance and support for future system enhancements and design.
- Update System Engineering Documentation.
- Provide Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) or similar evaluation methodologies.
- Interface with Program Management, System and Software Integration Engineers, Test Engineers, Information Assurance Engineers, and other project team members in an Agile environment.
- Develop and implement system engineering practices ensuring the proper degree of engineering rigor is applied to all assigned tasks.
- Communicate with and effectively collaborate with internal technical professionals on a day-to-day basis, and with representatives from customer organizations when necessary.
- Actively participate in program increment planning and related Agile team activities.
