We are looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Infrastructure Deployment Engineer to join our growing team within Corporate Infrastructure Services. The positions responsibilities involve installation of infrastructure hardware, configuration and network connectivity across a range of delivery projects, predominantly focused on corporate offices. The Infrastructure Deployment Engineer will work closely with both internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution in association with Technical Program Managers.
Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and has experience in supporting and deploying large scale, enterprise class networks. They will be highly competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of infrastructure hardware, software and connectivity, all combined with a proven project delivery methodology. This position will work with minimum supervision to drive and deliver the installation of our infrastructure services for Amazonians and to assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our infrastructure deployments as we expand.
Infrastructure Deployment Engineers are expected to work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and constantly think proactively and innovatively. The desire and ability to work in an ambiguous, collaborative environment is essential for success.
BS in STEM area preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science, may be coupled with certifications to include CCNA, JNCIA + industry experience.
4+ years of experience as a network engineer and deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment with hands on experience with physical infrastructure installations including hardware integration, racking, and cabling
4+ years’ experience in at least one infrastructure tech domain (e.g networking, storage, server, OS Windows/Linux platforms)
2+ years’ experience with project management at enterprise level
Ability to work in a 24/7 environment
4+ years’ hands on experience with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls.
Experience working with data and telecom carriers to procure, deliver, and activate network circuits.
Experience administering, deploying or supporting Aruba wireless network equipment.
Demonstrated track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $208,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
