Vann Data is a progressive 44 year old professional technology Services Company serving small and medium businesses in the Central Florida area. Our focus is to provide on-site and remote IT support along with a full complement of technology services. As our client base grows, we are looking for System Administrators who will be primarily responsible for the direct implementation, troubleshooting and management of LAN/WAN infrastructure as well as installing, maintaining and supporting clients and their networks. This position will require you to be on-site at client locations as well as working from our office. Candidates must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, client service, teamwork, multi-tasking, and enthusiasm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
- IT Support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure.
- Serve as primary resource for incoming calls for support, assess issue, resolve, and escalate as required.
- Support services for Microsoft related technologies including but not limited to Windows desktop and server operating systems, Office 365 cloud services, and Microsoft Office products.
- Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
- Support disaster recovery solutions, ensure systems are properly configured and are operating effectively for the customer
- Participate in proactive maintenance for select clients as needed in support of the Centralized Services team.
- Remote access solution support: VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
- Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure.
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, or agreed outages.
- Pursue opportunities for improving client network infrastructure whenever possible; engage management team to develop strategy and plan for improvements.
- Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
- Work through a daily schedule in our ticketing system that has been established through the dispatch process.
- Work through project tickets and phases in our ticketing system as assigned by a Project Manager.
- Enter all work as service or project tickets in our ticketing system.
- Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.
- Routinely participate in the training/certification programs provided by the company
