Job Description:
We are looking for a Systems Administrator in the Chicagoland area to spearhead help desk operations, manage vendor relationships, and help maintain our hardware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing both physical and virtual hardware, overseeing vendor contracts and procurement, Endpoint Security and leading help desk functions to provide exceptional support. As a Systems Administrator, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our IT environment is secure, efficient, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
·Provide support for roughly 170 local and remote Omeda employees. Manage onboarding/offboarding of users, as well as the configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software, network printers, and scanners.
·Maintain RingCentral and Comcast Business phone systems at two office locations
·Manage the Microsoft 365 environment for entire company (user accounts, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, multifactor authentication, etc.)
·Software Purchasing, Installation and License Management; management of support agreements
·Maintain asset lists and inventories; manage recycling and secure disposal of obsolete equipment
·Provide additional as-needed support for the rest of the Systems team
Basic Qualifications:
·3+ years’ experience in Helpdesk support (Local & Remote)
·3+ years’ experience in user workstation and laptop configuration, setup, and deployment
·Strong understanding of network concepts
·Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
·Strong troubleshooting skills
·Good understanding of general security concepts
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
·CCNA and/or A+ certification
·Familiarity with group policy
·Experience with security software and services such as Endpoint Protection, Windows Advanced Firewall, etc.
·Experience with RingCentral and or other Call Center phone systems
·Familiarity with the setup, transfer, and maintenance of toll-free and local phone numbers
