Required Qualifications:
- Directly maintaining UNIX (Linux a big plus) systems as a system administrator, which includes:
- Being able to script in shell languages (bash, csh, zsh, dash)
- Being able to program in a scripting language like Python, PERL, Javascript
- Must understand networking / firewall concepts.
- Have knowledge of network HW
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with ansible, chef, or other automation tools preferred.
- Ability to build automation infrastructure partially from scratch that can help build virtual machines, real HW, network/ SDN (Social Defined Network) elements.
- Basic networking knowledge and skills (IP networking, firewalls, wireless)
- Experience with Cloud computing AWS, Kubernetes and/or Google cloud. (Kubernetes is a big plus)
- Has experience with APT, Yum, RPM, or similar package management tools, installations, usage
- Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform is a plus
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
