The Role:
The Azure Cloud Engineer will oversee the configuration, security, and management of our Azure cloud infrastructure and Microsoft Enterprise 5 (E5) tools. These include endpoint security, Intune, AutoPilot, and other Microsoft security solutions. This role will also handle Active Directory containers and ensure compliance with industry-standard security practices. In addition to technical responsibilities, the role involves providing hands-on support for IT issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement secure IT solutions. Experience with ERP systems, especially implementation, is highly desirable.
Position Responsibilities:
- Azure Cloud Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of the company’s Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of availability, scalability, and security.
- Security Configuration: Configure, develop, and deploy Microsoft Enterprise 5 (E5) security tools, including Endpoint Defender, Intune, AutoPilot, and other key security applications.
- ERP System Integration: Support the integration of Azure infrastructure with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), with an emphasis on cloud-based solutions. ERP implementation experience is preferred.
- Active Directory Administration: Design, implement, and manage Active Directory containers and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to ensure secure user and resource management.
- Information Security: Continuously monitor, enhance, and ensure the organization’s information security protocols comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Helpdesk Support: Provide occasional hands-on technical support for employees in the San Diego office as required.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of security and cloud solutions with other IT systems.
- Performance Expectations: Ensure 99.9% uptime and availability of Azure cloud resources. Maintain the highest security standards, responding promptly to any security threats. Provide efficient and timely helpdesk support, and ensure compliance with all relevant information security requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience working in a company with 150 or more employees.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate required
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals required
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate preferred
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)preferred
- Technical Skills:
- Azure Cloud: Mid-level expertise in architecture, deployment, and management.
- Microsoft Enterprise 5 (E5) Security Tools: Mid-level experience with Endpoint Defender, Intune, and AutoPilot.
- Strong proficiency in Active Directory management, including design and implementation of containers and security policies.
- ERP Experience: Familiarity with ERP systems (such as NetSuite, SAP or Oracle) is preferred. Implementation experience would be a significant advantage.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000/year; however, base pay offered will take into account a range of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
