As a Software Engineer III, Cloud Infrastructure, at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate sector, specifically within the Consumer and Community Banking Risk Technology Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based systems using AWS, ECS, AWS RDS Aurora Postgres, Lambda, EMR, S3
• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable enterprise application/microservices using Java and Spring Framework.
• Work on AWS Cloud services like compute, storage, databases, network, application integration, monitoring & alerting, Identity & Access Management.
• Work in an Infrastructure as code environment or understands it very clearly.
• Gain hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Participate in the design and development of cloud-based solutions
• Ensure the security and scalability of cloud-based systems
• Build and deploy microservices on cloud-based systems
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Advanced knowledge in one or more programming languages including Java
- Hands-on practical experience using of AWS and Spring framework
- Experience with container orchestration
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
