Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
As a Cloud Systems Administrator for Cloud and Windows Compute Services at Cox Enterprises, you’ll play a key role in advancing our technology landscape. This dynamic role focuses on operating, maintaining, and evolving our Cloud and Windows Compute solutions, encompassing both on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. You’ll have the opportunity to drive transformation initiatives that directly enhance user experience while contributing to the strategic direction and operational excellence of our infrastructure. What You’ll Do
Shape the Future of Cloud, Hybrid, & Compute: Operate and administer our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) and Windows Compute systems, ensuring seamless performance, security, and scalability across both virtual cloud and on-premises environments that are critical to enterprise operations.
Bridge Hybrid Cloud & On-Prem: Oversee the integration and management of hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring smooth interoperability between on-premises data centers and public cloud environments.
Innovate & Optimize: Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of 24/7 business-critical systems. Plan for future upgrades and improvements to keep our tech at the forefront of industry standards, especially within hybrid environments.
Collaborate & Elevate: Partner with peers, cross-functional teams, and technology vendors to adopt product innovations, enhance workflows, and streamline lifecycle management of systems, whether they are hosted on-premises or in the cloud.
Solve Complex Hybrid Challenges: Evaluate hybrid cloud and infrastructure changes, analyze their impact on services, and deliver solutions that exceed business expectations across multiple environments.
Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure systems are highly reliable, modern, and user-friendly through continuous development of standards and processes for both cloud and on-prem environments.
Support Where it Matters: As part of the on-call rotation, respond swiftly to critical incidents and ensure smooth resolutions for any service outages or operational challenges, particularly those that span both cloud and on-prem infrastructures.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience in the technology field, or a combination of a master’s degree and up to 2 years' experience, or 6 years’ experience in the technology field.
Experience supporting and managing Public Cloud Infrastructure across one or more platforms, such as Azure, Oracle Cloud, AWS, or similar environments.
Experience across a broad range of IT systems, including applications, networks, DNS, LDAP, domains, and information security tools, with a deep understanding of application authentication techniques and protocols.
Experience in enterprise platforms, including the ability to manage, configure, and optimize large-scale systems to meet business and operational needs, in both cloud and on-prem environments.
Experience leading or contributing to large-scale infrastructure technology initiatives (preferably within an Agile methodology framework), ensuring timely delivery and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Technical understanding of IP-based networks, operating systems (preferably Windows), wireless technologies, and internet-facing applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, including Terraform, and/or other related technologies such as Ansible, CloudFormation, or ARM templates, for automating and managing cloud infrastructure in both virtual and hybrid environments.
Experience with virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure software suites, such as VMware and Nutanix, with a focus on enabling hybrid cloud capabilities.
