Position Overview:
We’re thrilled to be seeking a Cloud Engineer on behalf of our client based out of the Seattle, WA area. We are seeking candidates who possess the ability to monitor cloud systems, troubleshoot complex issues and improve/automate processes. This is a hybrid role based out of Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Team Coordination and Collaboration: Effectively coordinate and work together with a team of Cloud Engineers responsible for maintaining the company’s commitments to clients.
- Incident Analysis and Process Improvement: Investigate any issues that arise, evaluate process or workflows that may have contributed to the issue, and implement new processes and tools.
- Application Improvement: Collaborate with product management, cloud engineering, and support teams to improve applications functionality.
- Incident Diagnosis and Resolution: Analyze live incidents to distinguish between platform-related issues and usage-related issues, and determine the appropriate next steps for resolution.
Qualifications:
- Technical Experience: Prior experience working with Amazon Web Services and other Cloud infrastructure platforms. Knowledgeable about a wide range of web and internet technologies
- Education Requirement: A Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree preferred.
- Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or Cloud Operations Engineer.
- Database Knowledge: Knowledge of database operations and concepts.
- Programming Skills: Ability to create small programs or scripts to address short-term system issues.
- Programming Language Proficiency: Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages required: Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript.
