The Vocera Platform is a leading clinical communication and workflow platform that intelligently connects healthcare staff and vital information to enhance patient care. As a Senior Principal Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and approval of major cloud architectures for the Vocera Platform, contributing to Stryker’s Acute Care business. Reporting to the Chief Architect of Cloud Solutions, this role requires deep expertise in cloud systems and architecture. You will be the technical authority guiding cloud transformation projects while mentoring the technical team to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.
What You Will Do
- You will lead the design and development of cloud architectures, ensuring alignment with platform requirements and business goals.
- You will mentor and influence technical teams, providing expertise in cloud technologies and architecture best practices.
- You will evaluate new and emerging technologies for their potential application across multiple product lines.
- You will act as an independent reviewer in design reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and system requirements.
- You will contribute to and review technical documentation, including requirements, architecture, and design documents.
- You will provide technical leadership in DevOps practices, orchestrating continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience is required
- 10+ years of related experience required
What We Would Love That You Have (Preferred Qualifications)
- Extensive experience as a systems/solutions architect with extensive knowledge of cloud applications and workloads. Experience with cloud transformation projects, including migrating from on-premise to cloud-native solutions highly preferred.
- Proven ability to build technical consensus across teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in Agile methodologies, DevOps tool chains, and continuous integration/delivery processes.
- Multi-cloud experience, especially with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Proficiency in Java and API design using SOAP and REST, along with familiarity with Kafka, Jenkins, Ansible, and Vault.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, web technologies (JavaScript, Angular, React), and authentication/authorization platforms like OKTA, PING, or TAM.

141,500-311.700salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
